More reasons for cloth diapering

Wow, it has sure been a long time since I have blogged on here! In the future I hope to have only one blog where I may choose to write about anything. But anyway, since few readers are visiting this blog very often it has not become as much a priority for me as my other blogs. But here I will quickly describe why cloth diapering is the bomb and why I never look back at disposables as a choice for us now.

  • There are many cloth diapering options to fit everyones life requirements, budget, etc.
  • Cloth diapering (also E.C.) is the highest choice for those consciously engaged in bettering the earth.
  • You were once a baby, so you can relate: do you prefer something soft against your bum or paper?
  • It really is easy, I promise.
  • Cloth diapers contain messes better than disposables. And this is contingent upon the fit of the cloth diaper, of course. I keep hearing tales of this or that baby's blowouts and never seem to be troubled with it.
  • Cloth diapers are cuter- you can choose colors, patterns, etc. whereas your choice is gone with disposables.
  • You can customize how long before the next diaper change-- if I choose to wait a while then I double stuff his pocket diapers and we are good to go for a long time. However, if the baby poops then you will desire to change the diaper sooner rather than later.
  • Once you do it, you realize how easy it is. You also realize that before you chose fear. Now you choose to be awake and more conscious than before.
  • After you have cloth diapered your baby you can resale your diapers to someone else- now you are getting money back!!
  • Many people are selling their used diapers, making it that much more affordable for you! Check out diaperswappers.com and also the gdiaper yahoo group which every week has people putting up posts about diapers they are buying and selling. Also many cloth diaper stores sell used diapers for a fraction of the cost of new ones.
  • Diaper sprayers!! Yay! This means you no longer have to dunk/swish when your baby is eating solids regularly.
  • YOUTUBE: just type in cloth diapers and you will be amazed at how much help there is available to you from people who were hesitant to try it out at first and then learned how easy and awesome it was to do.
  • Your dollar is your vote. If you vote for continued pollution and lack of conscious choice then go buy another package of Luvs or Huggies, if you vote for a better earth then look into and choose a cloth diaper option that fits your budget and lifestyle!
